Hi, I’m Lydia.

I was born in Istanbul and come from Slovenian roots on my father’s side. Years ago, Slovenia was part of former Yugoslavia, so my background is a blend of cultures that shaped who I am today. I now live in beautiful Southern California with my husband and our two amazing daughters, who inspire me every single day. Our family is grounded in Christian faith, and it quietly guides the way we live and work.

Photography has been part of my life for over 16 years. I specialize in portrait and fashion photography, especially working with kids and teens. There is something incredibly powerful about capturing someone at a meaningful stage in their life.

I work both in studio and with natural light, depending on the look we want to create. My go-to cameras are the Canon R3 and R5, and my favorite lens is the RF 85mm 1.2. I love how it creates that soft, dreamy background while keeping my subject sharp and close. It adds a touch of emotion and depth to every image.

What I truly love about portrait photography is helping people see themselves differently. Many times, my clients don’t realize how beautiful or strong they look until they see their photos. That moment is everything to me.

For me, photography is not just about taking a picture. It’s about creating something intentional. I pay close attention to every detail, from lighting to posing to final retouching. I believe the magic is in the small things.
